We are living in a very difficult time in history and it doesn’t matter if we live in the United States or not, there are certain restrictions that we find ourselves under. Many people who live in America, however, have found themselves in difficult situations before the pandemic started. This includes a lot of people who served in the military and were perhaps sent overseas in order to care for their duties. Many of those individuals found themselves having difficulty getting back into society when they returned home from war zones and the experience could be a very difficult one.
Many war veterans ended up coming home with mental health disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They may also have a variety of physical injuries that make it difficult for them to get from one day to the next. For some, it is a matter of pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and continuing but others find it difficult to do so and they may even fall into a life of substance abuse. Civilian life can be difficult after you come home from an overseas tour of duty. In 2006, John Bon Jovi decided to do something about it by founding the JBJ Foundation. The goal of the charity was to help homelessness, hunger, and poverty for the veterans in the United States.

It wasn’t all that long ago that John Bon Jovi made a contribution of $500,000. His goal was to help at least 300 homeless veterans to get some stability back in their lives. The money will be used to build apartments. When Bon Jovi was interviewed on CNN, he explained the need to help veterans get back on their feet, saying: “Life as you knew it is going to be different, and sometimes, people need that extra help.”
