A Cowboy Talks About His Glorious (And Not Too Bright) Moment While Standing At The Pearly Gates

It doesn’t matter who we are, we are sure to have regrets in life. At times, those regrets may be somewhat obvious and we may feel the sting of our decision almost immediately after we make it. At other times, however, it goes beyond simply making a stupid decision and living to regret it, it can end up costing us in a big way. In the following joke, a cowboy has a moment to talk about one of his regrets in life while he is standing at the pearly gates. It may not have been funny to him, but we sure get a laugh out of it.

A cowboy strolled up to the Pearly Gates of Heaven and appeared before St. Peter.

Finding this a rather unusual sight, St. Peter asked him, “Have you ever done anything of particular merit, that would make you worthy of entering the Kingdom of Heaven?”

“Well”, the cowboy replied, “I can think of one thing”.

“What’s that?” St. Peter asked him.

“Well”, the cowboy said, “On a trip to the Big Horn Mountains out in Wyoming, I came upon a gang of bikers who were threatening a young woman. I told them to leave her alone, but they wouldn’t listen. So, I approached the largest and most tattooed biker and smacked him in the face, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring, and threw it on the ground”.

“What happened then?” St. Peter asked him.

“I yelled, Now, back off or I’ll kick the crap out of all of you!”, the cowboy replied.

St. Peter was most impressed.

“When did this happen?” he asked the cowboy.

“A couple of minutes ago”, came the reply.
